I was advised to give you another 4 week ban length

I thoroughly appreciate how you handled and went about dealing with this situation and I am very glad you decided to go against this.

I feel like I have to reply to this segment though, it's unfathomably ridiculous how this advice to dish out a month ban over someone pressing the wrong button is being given to trial staff. A complete overhaul and retraining is needed it seems when it comes down to giving out bans, evidence of improvement needed can be found through the last few pages of ban appeals with mountainous bans being slapped onto people for minor incidents. This used to not be the case.

He meant to use another spell and used avada. Its a mistake that happens to everyone and he shouldn't of been given a 1 week ban for it.
+1 for full unban

agreed, good handling on your part, terrible on the staff who suggested a 4 week ban, kinda feel like they ride the short bus to school, possibly sit alone at the lunch table? Not there in the brain you know what im sayin. Anyway +1 for complete unban it was an accident and he admitted to it.

kinda agreed. logic used here is like if someone got off a mass hatespeech ban then used hatespeech, to apply the punishment from previous (which is alright in 90% of cases). To apply that logic here is... incredibly short-sighted and i hope whoever gave the suggestion gets called out for it because this isn't the first time i've seen ham-handed punishments being suggested over similar offenses. There are obvious differences between doing mass RDM, then doing one RDM after returning, and mass Hatespeech, then an instance of Hatespeech. People seem to be bringing their crayons to school to eat rather than to draw with these days.

+1 to unban/redu

my man misclicked

RE: Unjustified ban length ban appeal - Enzoe Knight - 11-24-2021

Miss clicks happen, I still fat finger avada myself now and then, I end up apologizing profusely. It could happen to anyone so I feel like a reduction wouldn’t be a terrible idea.

RE: Unjustified ban length ban appeal - Eloise Sugarplum - 11-24-2021

Hello, after reading all of the feedback and thinking more about the situation, I will be accepting your appeal and reducing your ban from 1 week to 3 days in total. I understand accidents can happen and it's hard to prove that it was an accident when the other person sent in the clip. My suggestion would be using spell binds so when you are going to put your wand away you can switch it to a non-damaging spell, then switch to a damaging spell when you're in an RP situation that requires your damage spell! Thank you for appealing, see you in a couple days! :) <3
