As far as I consider it disturbing to not getting me homework I'd rather not have to wait 5 years to teach.

I see the issue here and I'll take this thread not only as +1/-1 but to give a possible solution or idea.

1. I remember one time there was the same situation with Astronomy Class. There was someone who didn't really take care of giving the homework out. I don't remember who it was, but one of the staff members was able to get the job anyway and gave us homework. Maybe we can get like the "Support" option if the homework is not given by 180 to 130? So there's still some time to switch a role.

2. Kick them from a role if the homework is not given by a specific time. So that someone can get a chance to switch.

not sure what you mean by 1 but 2 is already a thing. If the teacher is refusing HW without a valid reason they can be kicked from the server for it, however if say the class is micspamming or freespelling like crazy the prof can /op that no HW will be given to [class name] for [reason]

Sure I'll explain.

1. By a specific time, there could be something like "This teacher is no longer active, click YES if you want to switch roles" or be able to take his job (as a second slot) cause, for now, we have 1 slot for each teacher, and making "safe" and "hidden" spot that's available by a specific period of time could be amazing.

By 2 I mean - they should be automatically kicked if didn't give a valid reason of not giving homework. There also could be like a pop-up box with option "180 seconds passed and you didn't give homework, please say the valid reason:............................." and options:

1. RESIGN THE TEACHER ROLE
2. SEND THE REASON AND CONTINUE PLAYING AS [role]

Exactly what Mike said.

The increase of year requirement on teachers was actually increased from year 1 to year 3 I believe (correct me if I'm wrong ), so we've already made it a certain requirement, however there's not a lot that lower year levels can do, they might as well try and learn to teach. They can always be guided by older players and staff
