(3.) When did you first join our server and how did you discover it? - I was admin for Zubey's twitch and discord staff, he invited me to playtest the server.
 
(4.) Community staff must be active at a higher standard when compared to staff, do you understand that you may be let go for inactivity? -  As it should be
 
(5.) Tell us about yourself and why you want to be staff on SBS? (100 words or less) - I believe I can help our current staff team improve and grow in areas they are lacking but also keep repeat offenders accountable should they not improve.
 
(6.) What do you feel you need to improve on the most? - First Impressions. I come off more standoffish until I've had a conversation with someone I've met.
 
(7.) How would having you on staff benefit our server and what sets you apart from the rest of the applicants? - I know the staff team well and what their strengths and weaknesses, I believe I can help them better use their strengths to each others benefits and have the already well oiled wheel moving faster and better.
 
(8.) Have you been staff/are currently on any other servers? If so, which ones? (List them if possible) - 2x GM and 2x Mod on SBS HaloRP

Aura(The Current Staff Manager) returned from his LOA so I felt I could take a break from staff while he was back. Now that he has decided on resigning I feel it is time to return.

(11.) (Optional) Provide examples of situations you would handle in the position you are applying for here and how you would handle them. -

My general process is as follows:
1.Measure the evidence provided by players should a staff member be reported
2.Speak with said staff member to gather their interpretation of what happened.
3.If they are found at fault they will be provided an initial warn, and I will have Admins keep a close eye on them.
4.Should offenses continue to occur. staff members could be placed on ulx suspension>placed back on trial> ultimately removed from staff. Most cases would follow that line of punishment however if a case is severe enough it could require a harsher punishment.
This process outline most situations that could occur with the staff team. However their are some situations which occur that are not so black and white.

Scenario A: Two staff members, while both good at their job, do not work together well because they do not like each other. Should problems arise from this I would pull the two members aside separately and hear what their reasons are. I would then try to diffuse the situation by pulling them both into a call and attempting to have them make amends. Whether they have a positive reaction or not I will expect them both to be able to work with each other as members of the staff team.

Scenario B: Trial GMs can sometimes have great ideas but their first event can be an emotional hassle. Rather than have them thrown to the wind I would like to require either an experienced gm or admin to assist them during this time. This would both help calm the first event jitters and save an event from going terribly due to inexperience.

Scenario C: A GM is found to be altering another GMs events either by creating their own rp or using their ulx powers to alter what the playerbase can do without permission of the event host. This offense is one that should be taken very seriously as events are our bread and butter for our playerbase, when thrown off due to staff minging it ruins the experience for the entire server. I would pull both GMs aside after the event and try to diagnose what went wrong in the situation and try to ensure nothing of the like happens again.

Didn't you resign like 4 days ago? How's it time for you to return? As soon as you noticed that this position was available you decide to come back, just seems a power grab from me. Also, the way you answer question 11 seems very incomplete and basic, which makes me believe you have no idea of how you could possibly handle certain situations as a staff manager. -1

1. As staff manager i would focus on building off of the team we currently have and helping them to further improve. As I've said before I believe this is the best team we've had on halo so far. We finally have the right hands, now we just need to get them to coordinate better.

2. While 1 or 2 more mods couldnt hurt the main place we are hurting is in our GMs. While each one has particular things they excel at they also have things they struggle with. This leads to an event calender that can range from a grade 1 event to a grade 4 event even within the same day. This will tie in to my response to 4.

3. I am aware that I can come off as rather argumentative to people. I have been working personally on finding new ways to get my point across that don't seem so ambiguous with their intentions.

4. While I believe in holding GMs accountable for pulling their weight on the staff team, I think the quota system needs to be changed. We have 3 types of gms on the server: (A) those who do well at creating buildings and dupes for broader scale events, but infrequently, (B) GMs who can improvise an event with little to no preparation. © GMs who can provide the most frequent amount of events. Rather than have each of them held to creating something of their own twice a week, I believe having the team itself responsible for 2 events a day minimum would be more effective. This way GMs would have more opportunity to work with each other and bridge the gap between being either an A or B or C, instead they would be able to create something better together while learning from each other at the same time. A first step in this would be having a set of dupes developed for general use around our current map rotation.

5. I understand how people work. Each one has different positives and negatives and motivations. This leads me to be excellent at having group of people work well with each other and want to get better. I'm also more than capable of going through a conflict if it means reaching a resolution in the end. In my time on staff I have learned that not everything will be black and white, and sometimes a conflict arises where one didnt need to happen in the first place, all we need is a little nudge of communication and cooperation to keep the engine running.

6. SBS Halo is and will always be my home on Gmod, Sometimes you just need a vacation to recharge. I won't lie i was hoping it would be a bit longer of a vacation but C'est La Vie. I know that might not be the answer you were looking for but it is the honest truth. A recent resignation is something I can't turn into a positive over other applicants. Only thing I can say is it wouldnt be my first time coming back from a resignation to help the server I love.

7. Evidence is the most tangible thing in existence. No one is perfect and mistakes are inevitable, however I understand that most mistakes come from lack of knowledge and guidance is the remedy to that.

Not gonna lie, when I saw apps were open I waited for this.
Now when my friends and I first played on the server you did make a pretty bad impression.
But that's not always a bad thing, because it's the change that matters.
You reached out and talked with other staff to try and help us understand Halo and have some fun.
I think that Dusks' maturity when it came to that whole situation was phenomenal. 
I honestly don't think you'd be a bad candidate, although I was wondering why you resigned but that's your business.
I think you could do a good job, with some good mentoring and feedback you'll be great.

I've talked with Dusk a few times over the course of the Halo server. I know I wasn't really all that good of a leader/commander when I first started on there, but I always try my best to be friendly, and the last interaction I had with him wasn't really a good one.

Earlier this year there was an issue I had on the Halo server, and so I made a comment about it on the Halo discord. And even though this issue had nothing to do with him, Dusk made kind of a rude comment about it towards me. I don't really know why he decided to act like that and I tried to ask why he did, and he responded in kind of the same way.

Dusk, when I first talked with you, I don't think anything was wrong and we seemed to get along okay. But I feel that as time went on, you've had some kind of issue with me and you definitely showed it. And so I'm just not sure if someone with that kind of attitude should be a staff manager. But if you'd like to explain more of your side, I'd be happy to hear it.

I believe the incident you are referring to you pinged your old officer and made a statement about how you believed your removal was unfair. My reply was that that should be done in dms as it is a server rule to keep drama out of the discord and that as exhalo staff and exhalo officer you know better. These situations should always be handled in dms because they quickly turn into situations where the staff has to step in because even if the original person doesnt intend it other players in the server begin to quickly take sides and issue their own thoughts so it gets out of hand and issue warns so i was speaking from experience from an unbiased standpoint.
