Spell binding tree

#1
I rejoined the server today and I wanted to create a spell binding for spongify and stupefy and the spell binding tree option does not show up for me

I redownloaded gmod, verified the integrity of gmod files on steam, rejoined the server again, restarted my computer and the spell binding tree still does not show up for me.

Also when I first joined the server after 2 months or so I accidentally turned off my computer so I don't know if that has something to do with it or not.

Does anyone know how can I solve this?

Probably going to have to clear all your add-ons and re-download them. Never seen that one before so it might have to do with interrupting the download when you first joined back

I've been having that exact same issue, but clearing all addons and redownloading them doesn't seem to work. It's getting frustrating as now I have to sift through the spells to find what I need - not to mention how difficult it would be to rapidly switch out spells should the need arise.

Along with that, I'll explain my situation: I too came back after a long hiatus, but when I came back, the spell bindings worked fine. In fact, there doesn't seem to be any discernable cause from what I'm seeing. Just one day, the Spell Binding stops working, exactly how it was described in the bug report. I can't select spell trees, I can't edit spell trees, and I can't create spell trees - it's all just blank. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting, closing gmod then reopening it, as well as the aforementioned method above. I think it's actually an issue with the Wands Rewrite mod itself - since bug reports on its GitHub have reports of similar incidents as recent as 2019, and as late as 2017, and judging by the lack of response to those specific bug reports, I fear the worst for it.

I managed to fix it. Turns out reinstalling gmod doesn't remove everything, even with cloud off (I believe) and all addons deleted. What I did was used a Factory Reset Batch file, which I believe is in the same folder the Gmod executable is, and running that file. Once I did that, and got back into the server, Spell Binding was fixed, and I could use the mod normally. Hopefully this helps you out, and anyone else who has this issue.
