(2.) What position are you applying for? - Halo Manager of RP 
 
(3.) When did you first join our server and how did you discover it? - About 3 months ago, Recommended by a friend.
 
(4.) Community staff must be active at a higher standard when compared to staff, do you understand that you may be let go for inactivity? - Yes, I understand.
 
(5.) Tell us about yourself and why you want to be staff on SBS? (100 words or less) - I believe that with the knowledge and experience I possess in Halo lore and the Halo RP setting I will be able to enhance the current experience for all players, in a fun and inclusive way.


 
(6.) What do you feel you need to improve on the most? - Probably my biggest area of improvement is deciding on a concept. Often I will form multiple solutions but will struggle to pick one over the other. This isn't the case a lot of the time but if it is a complex situation, I cannot help but attack the problem from multiple angles which at times can slow progress.  
 
(7.) How would having you on staff benefit our server and what sets you apart from the rest of the applicants? - Probably what sets me apart from my fellow applicants is my knowledge on halo lore. I have had the opportunity to work my way up through UNSC, Covenant, ONI, and Innies during my Halo roleplay experience getting a detailed understanding of how each group functions, how and what they will deliver to an immersive experience. I believe that and my ability to quickly organize and tackle situations I will be able to coordinate with faction leaders to ensure that they are given the tools to deliver lore accurate experiences and that the lore will enhance and enable their members to roleplay while limiting any factors that might inhibit them.

As well I have a very clear picture of what I want to work on as the Manager of RP, if at any time I believe that I have nothing more to add, and or unable to do more I will more than gladly step down and allow new people with fresh ideas to continue improving the player experience.
But please understand that I am not the type of person who orders people around or just bandages a situation. In my mind, the only way to truly fix a problem is to provide people the tools to do so and creating the proper safety nets to stop the problem from resurficing.

(11.) (Optional) Provide examples of situations you would handle in the position you are applying for here and how you would handle them. -

For the sake of time, I will list the 4 of the big things I hope to fix

1: Lack of clarity of class/group-specific skills and roles in RP/Events.

Solution:
 Creating a document that outlines each group/class primary and secondary roleplay jobs
  • A clear and in-stone document that will provide clarity to both gamemasters and the general Halo community on the recommended tasks that can be completed by a class/groups during RP/events.
2: Inefficient format of selecting a new Manager of RP/ backup for said position

Solution:
 Create and train a Jr/Assistant position for the next line of succession.
  • - I believe this way of selection takes far too long and is largely ineffective for the type of role. If I am selected for the position a part of my attention will go to this, as I believe that no person should maintain a position such as this for a long period. as such I would limit my term as Manger of RP to no more than 2 months (or 61 Days), regardless of how I feel. This would ensure that someone capable is ready to go and begin their term beginning the process again. The Jr position will also be able to counterbalance the manager while learning.
  • - Side Objective: 
Creating a clear Identity for the Manager of RP ensuring that their opinion/actions are respected and followed through in the community.

3: The SoS situation

Solution(s)

 -Creating an overarching story for the SoS to follow that falls in line with the Halo novels and can be developed and worked by Event staff.
        - Better adapting titles/ranks to meet lore accuracy and function.
        - Provide a greater distinction between the relevancy of each job.
        

4.Lack of RP related content 

Solution: Creating a system/ working with the event team to ensure that a theme is set for a given week that will influence one-off events and or multi-stage events.


- With this system, players will be able to enjoy RP under a constantly changing theme. This will allow players to better feel connected to the events and the world. Rather than rogue AI in the morning, Insurrectionists in the afternoon, and by night time the flood is swarming the base.
