Moving Students instead of Detention Sticks

(1) What is your In-game name & Steam ID? - Romeo King - STEAM_1:1:447082237

(1a) Have you read through the Common Suggestions and Answers post? - Yes

(2) What is your suggestion? - Instead of having an insta-teleport detention stick to send players to detention, I think prefects should instead physically take them to detention and put them in. Either with a small range invisible Physgun, or a red rope. (Which I think is what they do in Star Wars RP)

I'm not sure if any "carry", "pickup" or "move player" ability mod is out there, so as of right now the rope or physgun would have to do.

(3) What made you feel that this change was necessary or would make a great addition? - It just adds to RP a little. Running from an evil red stick can be tense, I know, but I think having prefects drag you around after you get caught freespelling or skipping class would be so much more fun. Plus, less disappearing players.

(4) What could be possible negatives if your suggestion were to be added? -

1. Apprehending mic spammers, minges etc would be harder. It would be do-able, it would just take more time than 1 click and they're gone. They banned by moderators/admins fairly quickly anyway.

2. Having to create some kind of thing that brings students to detention, similar to the "Auror Toilet" thing.

3. Possibly having players think someone is snatcher with a rope. But it would be a noticeably different colour, so it could easily be told apart.

Massive -1.

Taking dark forces in as auror is pretty much this. It's toxic as fuck already. Doing that as a prefect would be ridiculous. You would have to leave the class/wherever you are and more people could break rules. I think the way it is, is pretty good.

Ok that would be more realistic but, cmon, it's Hogwarts. Magic exists  Kappa

Jokes apart that would create a loot of problems. A Physical Gun would be abused as fuck by players, can you imagine giving such powers to a fifth year? Also a rope would creat problems as well. Even Aurors abuse them, can you imagine prefects?

Also how do you put people in jail? Doors will create "escape" problems lol and teleport (as when you flush DFs) would be the same thing as using a stick.

I know where you come from but, even though the hitbox is fucked sometimes, it's fine as it is now.

-1 it would be harder to arrest people and would be very abusable

It's a nice idea as by realism terms but I don't think it'd go
down too well once implemented. Plus the detention sticks
may be instant but its hard enough to catch people as it is.

And it would just make the prefects not wanna do their job bc no wants to walk back and forth between detention and class.
Prefects would stop arresting people when it's time to pick up hw, spells, or if the teacher is teaching something good. During GH or when the classes are combined if the students outnumber the prefects then the students will just act up when the prefect is arresting someone. I don't want to keep going on but I think you get the point.

Like Dea said it would be neat to see for the realism. But there are a lot of problems I think this would cause.

If a student is caught by a prefect on the other side of the map, it would be such a hassle to have to walk them all the way to detention.

If there are multiple people breaking roleplay rules at once, it'll be very difficult for a prefect to have to manage catching the students and bringing them to detention.

If a prefect is watching a class and detains a disrupting student, then the prefect has to leave the class to put them in detention. That can last a minute or two, depending on how far the class is, and during that time that class is left with one less prefect to help manage it.

Overall it does sound interesting if you'd like to really get into the roleplay, but I think it's just going to make prefecting much more tedious than it needs to be.

-1 prefecting is hard enough and would only make it for many students to get away with stuff.

No idea is a bad idea, but this one is a dangerous idea.
We want to limit abuse when possible.
