Applicants Steam ID - STEAM_0:1:449693237

(1.) Do you agree to and accept the Volunteer Staff Application Terms & Conditions? If so, please answer with "Yes, I do agree and accept these terms and conditions." - Yes, I do agree and accept these terms and conditions.

(1a) What is your most recent or commonly known in-game name or alias? - Astronaut

(1b) Which battalion are you in? - 38th

(2.) In which time zone do you reside? - MST (Mountain Standard Time; Hour Behind CST)

(2a) Please provide the hours of the day that you are the most active on the Clone Wars RP server according to CST (Chicago, US), so the managers and staff know when they can expect to see you. - 5:30 - 10:30

(3.) What is your age? - 16

(4.) Approximately, when was the first time that you joined our Clone Wars RP server and how did you initially discover it? - I initially discovered the server late 2018, when I got my new PC. The server was pretty small, compared to the other servers, and it was a nice change of pace. Although, considering I broke my last PC (milk spill related incident), I was gone for a good year. When I got my new computer last July, I've been active ever since.

(4a) How can we be certain that you will remain active on the server upon being accepted for a volunteer staffing position? - The server is a bit of a hobby of mine. i have people I look forward to seeing on it and some friends I've gotten.

(4b) Do you understand that you can be let go at any time for excessive inactivity at our discretion? - I understand

(5.) Do you understand and agree to not only comply with, but also enforce the rules of the server when necessary? - I understand and comply

(5a) When listing the 8 basic rules, please explain what they each mean to convey to us that you understand and comprehend them wholly.
 List Rules below:
1: No Fail RP - Stay in character and do only what a soldier of the Grand Army of the Republic would do.
2: Be respectful to players and staff - Behind the white helmet of the player is a human, treat them like you would treat their actual self.
3: No RDM - Don't kill good guys unless ordered to in RP.
4: Obey Staff and RP Leaders - Staff are important to making sure you have fun without breaking rules, and RP leaders know your job better than you do, so it's just good advice to listen to them.
5: Do not mic or chat spam - Mic and chat are there to communicate with your fellow players in events and in OOC, not play Fortunate Son every time you get in a LAAT or spam le epic cool TK bind.
6: Advert is for RP purposes - Advert is used by officers to let you know, "Whoa this is important to the event and is important to communicate."
7: Salute Commanding Officers - Salute all 2nd Lieutenants and above.
8: Do not abuse the AFK system or Map Exploits - The AFK system is there to not use up space on the server when you are doing other things, not to wait around for hours at a time, jumping every twenty minutes to make sure you stay on. And do not use map exploits to get to places you wanna go, like phasing through a wall.

(6.) Tell us a little about yourself and why you would like to be accepted for a volunteer staffing position on SBS. (100 words or less) - My name is Astronaut, not IRL of course that'd be weird and probably constitute absolute stupidity on behalf of my parents. See, I've got an itch to make people laugh and make people have fun. Since I'm already very funny, of course, I just need to make people have fun. I want to make people have fun with some good events, and I've got a few ideas. I just need a place to put all the ideas that go on in my head, which is why I'm applying.

(7.) In your opinion, which quality of yourself do you feel that you need to improve on the most? - See, I've got a big mouth, as anyone who's spent more that 10 minutes with me can assure. I also hate it when people aren't as fast as me, so probably bad for a GM.

(7a) In your opinion, which skill set of yours do you feel that you need to improve on the most? - I'm not very good at making buildings completely outta scratch.

(8.) How would having you on our volunteer staff team benefit our server and what qualities set you apart from the rest of the applicants? - I'm absolutely not afraid to try anything once. I believe in "If it works, great, if it sucks, sucks." I'm great at taking criticism and, on account of my big mouth, I'm not afraid to speak up on topics I care about.

(9.) Have you ever previously maintained a game server staffing position, or currently are, on any other Garry's Mod servers? If so, which ones, and in which staffing positions? (List them if possible) - Nope.

(10.) Have you ever previously been banned on any Garry's Mod or SBS servers? If yes, then please list approximately when, how long, and the reasoning(s). - No.

(11.) In your opinion, are the server staff or the players of more importance? Why? - The players are always a million times more important than the staff. They are the lifeblood of any RP server, they're what keep it running. Without any players, you have no server. Prioritizing the players, even the less important ones, are always gonna be the first thing any good staff or GM should do.

(12) How would you rate your skills overall out of 10 (E.g., patience, response time, etc.) - A good 6.7/10. Although, I am still in school, so response time will most likely not be instantaneous.

(13.) On a scale from 1 to 10, how familiar are you with Garry's Mod's default tools, context menus, and utility menus? - 8/10.

(14.) Provide us with at least two detailed examples of events that you would orchestrate and how you would proceed with organizing, operating, and constructing them. - Star Wars: The Clone Wars! Vaccuum on Naboo! With the great senator Padme Amidala, an influential member of the senate, on Coruscant, several Nabooan and Gungan Terrorist Cells have used the absence to take over key sectors on Naboo! Fortunately, the Clone Troopers of the Star By Star cell have answered the call! With a nice little event on GM_Flatgrass, a classic, a long field with a juicy checkpoint right in the middle of it. A timed mission, the members would have to take the middle point and several other checkpoints and HOLD IT while flanked from all sides by the Terrorist Cells. With random junk and flotsam placed on the flat grass, it would resemble a battleground. It would be up to the commanding troopers of each Batt to decide how to best use their specializations. The terrorists would just be, like, droids but with Gungan jedi models instead. It would prioritize fun and stretch out the already thin clone troopers between all the checkpoints.

(15.) Do you have any prior experience using ULX administrative system or sandbox building on Garry's Mod? - I build quite a lot in Sandbox already, although my ULX is a little rusty.

(16.) You both understand and realize, that by applying for a volunteer staffing position on the server, you are sacrificing the complete freedom of being able to role-play and or socialize freely all the time without any interruptions, and are obligated to handle all server issues and or volunteer staff position tasks at hand no matter the situation and to the best of your abilities? - I fully understand.

(17.) Please provide a list of all previous volunteer staff applications, provide a link to them if possible, and list any reasons why they may have been locked. If they were previously accepted, please provide a short explanation of why you are no longer volunteer staff at the time of this application. (Disregard if this is your first application) - N/A
