Prefect abuse

#1
I know this wont go anywhere because there is no simple fix and this server has done this for years now however:

Prefects and teachers within this community are extremely toxic very frequently and have a simple way to jail whoever they want with NO consequences.

If Jenny Kraig doesn't like a student for example and has not declared PTS as active he FREQUENTLY puts a DOS on people to get the prefect to arrest them.

The problem now is that a student is jailed without breaking a rule. If the student makes a complaint in @ chat the staff will pull the prefect and the student and NOT the teacher/other prefect who called for the false DOS. AT BEST the person who pulled the DOS just says they disrespected the class when no such disrespect occured. Now a student has to sit in jail for 300 seconds due to what is basically cyber bullying from VIPs/Prefects/Teachers.

And despite this not an abuse report, Jenny Craig does this almost 50 times per night. He has every teacher role keybound and annoys the entire class and pauses relentlessly to try and shame students without activating PTS just to DOS students who say anything whatsoever. By 180 we haven't learned a single thing and almost nothing was accomplished but 10 students will be in jail without breaking PTS or saying anything disrespectful. But Jenny doesn't get in trouble because he only DOS students, he doesnt arrest them. So when they complain in an admin sit the prefect says the teacher requested it and nothing happens.

do you ever read the post before you comment on it ?

If this person really is just putting out false DOS's, the only thing you can really do is record. And when they do make the false DOS, report it to staff.
Most of the time no I don’t read

Not all are bad honestly, but i must admit i have seen some very power hungry people take advantage of the job roles relatively often, however moderators usually take care of the toxicity pretty quickly i must say,

You really gonna try and #NotAllPrefects on this? Even if each individual prefect isn't bad, they participate in and benefit from an inherently unjust system. Fuck 12, fuck prefect brutality, no justice no peace, hands up don't swing, put those batons away before we claim the inner-courtyard as an autonomous zone again.

I wish some of you wouldn't think in such a black and white way. Every group is always going to have people that do bad things or things they shouldn't be doing. Saying that the good ones are also to blame just because they're in the same "system" isn't reasonable at all. Instead of lashing out at everyone, you should focus on what needs to be done to keep bad things from happening again.

But for the original post, yea I do agree that there are many prefects and teachers that don't really care about the roleplay, and only play those jobs to fool around or make things worse for others. I do know that recently staff has been trying to watch classrooms more closely to make sure everything goes okay, but that won't stop all the minging and abuse from happening.

My feedback doesn't require - or + support.

It's pointing out a working flaw in the way that people can abuse the jailing system without consequences.

Like look I get people minge all the time and you have to jail these kids. On the flip side though teachers DOS students they dont like for no reason and prefects just do the dirty work completing the RDA.Then a complaint is made in @ chat where everyone involved just points fingers at everyone else to which the admins do nothing and side with the arrest. It's bullying.

And to tell me "just record it" is a shame because this happens all the time when admins are online and it's not the players faults they never get involved in the classes and merely log on to uWu in the courtyard and do sits where they just side with the teacher/prefect no matter what and force name changes. I just dont really see the value admins here provide.

Dude I'm just telling you this: in the past 2 weeks I've seen tons of teachers and prefects (maybe even the same people everytime) revoking points for the dumbest and craziest reasons and putting DOS or sending people to detention just because they feel like.
I mean I saw teachers sending people to detention because they were talking in class without even activating the PTS.

But, as Sibyl said, we are all different. Everybody isn't necessarily a bad prefect/teacher but lately I've seen some players being too much cocky and abusive on those jobs.

I gotcha boi :)
