(5) Have you been banned on any SBS server before? If so, approximately how many times? Never.

(6) Have you been banned within the last week? Around two Months now.

(7) Why were you banned in this instance? For killing Arrow in middle of a sit.

(8 ) Do you think you deserved the ban? I deserved punishment, but not a perma.

(11) Provide a Screenshot of the message that appears when you try to join the server:

(Little Disclaimer: For the ones saying I am lying, In this image, it says I was banned for Rule2 and Rdm, if you didn't see it already)

+1 I believe dank has learned his lesson from this ban, but I do agree with what others said about giving him one last chance and if he fucks up again, he should be perma'ed

+1 Give this guy one last chance.

Not going to give a +1 or -1 on this but I have my opinion. I don't exactly play on the server anymore, but I was around when Dank was banned.

Dank, like many of the players who decide to leave SBS, decided to come back to the server to mess around and break rules for whatever reason; I honestly could not tell you why people do it. After spending hundreds, even thousands of hours on the server, players come back in an attempt to get banned (or so it seems, I mean why else would you come back to fuck around? Players like Dank had been around for long enough to know that what they were doing would end up with a ban). My problem with Dank's ban appeal, and many like it (not going to name individuals) is that you were an active player, were staff and an officer for an extended period of time, and you still came back to fuck about knowing you would get banned. Adding to this, people always argue that they only did one thing to get banned and that they were undeserving of a permaban, but after watching you go from someone who took the server relatively seriously to someone who came back to fuck around why on earth do you think people wanted to put up with it?

The bigger issue I have with these ban appeals is the attitude these players take once they come back to break rules. Since 2015 players who have left, and returned always act as if they're above regular players now that they had ceased to take the server seriously anymore. It's almost as if they think they're a better person for not partaking in the RP and just coming on the annoy those who actually want to take the server seriously (as serious as you can take it lol). This isn't as big of a problem with people who haven't been as invovled with the server, but Dank, you were literally one of the most, if not the most active player the server had.

I want to clarify that this response isn't solely directed at Dank, but more so the staff and others who have appealed for similar reasons in the past. Even though I'm not active anymore, I'm tired of seeing the same ban appeals being posted (and getting accepted) after players actively try to end their time on the server with a ban only to come back weeks or months later to say sorry, that it was a big mistake and they shouldn't have done what they did.

Personally, i think it's bullshit people say you've had a second chance. Sure, you probably fucked around for a while, but if you haven't received a ban before this one, then you haven't used up your "second chance". Theres an official way of doing things around here, and it isn't by letting the admins take their personal problems out on specific players. Going from a position of power and importance, to the rank of a CT is liberating for some, but it can lead to minging once your responsibilites are gone. I believe he should have a second chance. Its always easy to permaban everybody that fucks up, but thats not the communities people like to play in. Lets unban him, see where it goes and if he fucks up, so be it, but hopefully he will become the asset to the community he once was. +1

If he becomes unbanned, then it would be a real shame to see admins watch him like a hawk to see if he fucks up. If somebody is unbanned, then its on the admins to wipe the slate clean, unless you want the now unbanned player to become a minge again.

@Comet I respect your view on it, though to be fair, when there was events, I played them, I didn't attempt in ruining it for anyone, or sitting around to wait until it was over, and carried on playing the event. The only times I "Fucked around" was on base, that's the only place where I was being 'mingy'. As in the Past, I like playing on events, even if sometimes they were boring, but in my opinion, I never fucked up any ones experience while in an event, and actually took it seriously at times (all this as a CT). But for the rest, I do agree on your points. Though, I didn't come back with the sort of OG ego people have sometimes when they have played the server for a long time. I want the same chances other people in this community have had, that's it.

as I said in your first ban appeal, I had no vote, however with this post from your last appeal I am compelled to respond and change what I put at first.

Quote:A lot of feeling towards this appeal this week is similar to last week in which the staff team felt as though that you had your chances before you were banned and that there should be a little bit more time before your ban is reduced/removed.

If the overwhelming opinion is that time needs to be waited before you issue a reduction or removal, then why keep the appellant hanging in limbo due to the team's indecision? If you think he's going to get unbanned within the year, then reduce it to a year ban and tell him to appeal for a shorter ban from there. If you think he'll be unbanned within 3 months, then make it a 3 month ban and tell him to appeal from there. Keeping someone in limbo when you know they're going to get an unban or a reduced sentence is not the way to go.

Knowing that the staff team didn't respond with an outright "no" and the indecision is the only thing keeping you banned, I am in favor of them switching your status from a perma ban to a ban with a reasonable and defined duration, or to remove it outright, as Lewis said they will already do. Action is what is needed here, not inaction.
